LaCount and Anna Anderson
LaCount and Anna Anderson have been in poverty ministry in eastern NC since 2009 working with unhoused people in shelters; working with the Conetoe Family Life Center in Conetoe, NC; and assisting the First Baptist Church in Ahoskie, NC as they meet the needs of the community.
Anna serves as CBF Field Personnel with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. LaCount is President of the Eastern NC Poverty Network, Inc. and also serves as CBF Mission Engagement Partner.

Twenty years ago Together For Hope cast a bold vision- a 20-year commitment to the 20 poorest counties in America.
Today we have nearly 50 partner organizations in many of those counties throughout rural America and we have expanded our bold vision to include all 301 counties of persistent rural poverty in the U.S.

Food insecurity in eastern NC is a priority of our work. We work with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC to distribute food boxes monthly to about 100 senior citizen families in the town of Conetoe, NC.
A second priority of our ministry is to work with housing insecurity. In 2021 we assisted Conetoe Family Life Center in opening a transitional house to aid families with decent housing while in transition. The house is a part of the Welcome House Network sponsored by Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina. We seek to discuss with others the opportunity to open other Welcome Houses in communities throughout NC.

Since 2009 Anna and LaCount have served the people of eastern NC through various tasks. Assisting the unhoused, food relief, assisting people decent housing, and consultation with churches concerning how to reach people in their community.
